Mission Summary
The U.S.S. Victory is ordered to respond to a request from the Ráeru Protectorate, a collection of 9 worlds which has entered into a friendly but restrained agreement with the Federation to provide transport for Heru Imlad, Leader of a powerful Religious Order called the Naergon, which is viewed as the Foundation of the Ráeru culture.
One of of their Colony worlds, a drought has brought about an agricultural crisis with the failure of crops and Heru Imlad has been asked to conduct a ceremony to re-bless the Colony in hopes of restoring Balance to the planet's agricultural centers.
Arriving at the Ráeru Homeworld, Tarambar, Victory picks up Heru Imlad and his entourage, a group of 18 Priests, along with 5 Guards whose purpose is to protect the artifact, an ornate chest containing sacred scrolls carved from a solid piece of nebula stone, a hard black stone with grayish/green colored swirls.
The request is however, a ploy.. Heru Imlad and his entourage are actually highly trained warriors; their true purpose is to take control of the U.S.S. Victory and gain access to Federation technology giving them an advantage over their rivals.
The artifact is actually a weapon, inside the beautiful ancient stone box lies a weapon which may well bring the Victory's crew to their knees..
