Other Family | Other members of Dylo family are not particularly close to Kaden's parents. They are an artistic and intellectual elite with jealousy for Fortin Dylo's success. Most of the Seraph family is spread throughout the Betazed colonies. Centuries ago, they were a great political power but a dark history of bloody intrigue and treason has tainted their name- rather like the infamous Borgias of Earth. |
Personality & Traits
General Overview | Ensign Kaden Dylo is a cheerful, extroverted young gay man with a dynamic curiosity about other cultures and civilizations, past and present. He does not have the usual Betazoid telepathy or empathy for two-legged creatures, but he does have an exceptional sensitivity with the four-legged; especially canines and felines. He sustains his energetic optimism despite the opposition of his family to his Starfleet career choice. His sister, however, remains unconditionally loving and supportive and is currently the only one speaking to him.
Strengths & Weaknesses | Dylo has a minor in veterinary medicine. As an athlete, he is swift and agile on his feet. Only an average marksman, he is more skilled in combat blades and staffs. Although always friendly and generous with help, Dylo doesn't open up quickly to individuals, probably due to family mistrust. He broke off a relationship just before Starfleet Aceademy graduation.
Ambitions | Ensign Dylo dreams of supervising a major archaeological site some day. His greatest joy would be the discovery of an entirely new civilization.
Hobbies & Interests | For recreation, Dylo enjoys almost sort of athletics requiring endurance: gymnastics, long distance running, swimming. He is still a very social guy; loves parties despite his low physical tolerance for real alcohol. He's not much of a reader or holovid fan, but he does enjoy cooking for friends. His "specialty" is Delaxan Pepperpod Stew. |
Personal History | Kaden Dylo's earliest memories find him surrounded by art and animals. The first bored him for most of the year; the second fed his zest for life- of all kinds- during six weeks of holiday at the family's country estate each summer. It was in the woods behind the family home when Kaden made his first "discovery": a shard of pottery, centuries old. By the time he was old enough to start his formal education, he'd researched the pottery to his mother's family almost three hundred years earlier. Because his parents looked upon Kaden as learning disabled, he did not receive the private school education of his siblings. His extarordinary talent with animals and his burning curiosity about other worlds and other peoples, did catch the attention of a retired Starfleet commodore at Betazed's Central University. He used his influence to gain a chance for Kaden to enter Starfleet Academy, from which he graduated 9th in his class. |

Service Record | Kaden Dylo's final cadet training was aboard the USS Coventry, a Miranda class science vessel posted near the Seppora System. |
