Physical Description Sweet and innocent looking, she still appears to be a teenager, having a young face that won't go away. She rarely has her uniform on off duty, and almost always carries a medical tricorder out of habit, even while assigned to the helm, just in case. Her face looks bright, eyes alight and she always has her nails done short, but neat, a habit from her nursing days. Her hair falls in curls to her shoulders and she frequently has it tied back in a ponytail. All in all, the girl next door type.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Officially listed as an orphan, she's taken the Hawaiian attitude that everyone is her cousin. She's friendly and outgoing; chipper almost to the point of annoyance. The best word to describe her is quirky, as she takes delight in things that don't necessarily make logical sense, and sometimes forgets basic social graces. She has a good sense of humor, but also a lot of sass, enjoying dishing just desserts when someone tries to pull one over on her.

Personal History She was found on the shores of Kahaluu, Hawaii with no apparent knowledge of how she got there. With no memory of who she was other than her name, she was brought to a local hospital for examination. Their scans showed human lifesigns in good health, so they gave her over to the local support services to find her a home.

Her adoptive parents found her to be precocious and a bit brassy at times, but good-natured, and did their best to give her a loving home. With her skills with computers and her knack for communications and languages, they thought she might join Starfleet’s linguistic groups (with her attitude, they knew the diplomatic corps wouldn't be a good idea) but she surprised them saying she wanted to look into early admittance into the medical field.

She attended Starfleet Academy, studying to be a nurse, supporting those who did the ‘real work’ to save lives. She attributes her early graduation to the many, many all-nighters she sat through studying to get ahead, and after graduation was approached by an Admiral and offered a position.

She’d originally set out to discover the galaxy, and perhaps one day figure out where she came from. Her ship was not a standard Starfleet vessel and frequently found itself handling situations not normally encountered by official Starfleet vessels, which eventually led her to her home planet and an understanding of the meaning of her existence. Upon discovering who she was and where she was from, her CO arranged her record to continue to reflect her status as a human resident of Hawaii and classified the rest, leaving her to decide whether or not to discuss it in the future.

She served as a nurse on the USS Nazareth for several years, eventually working her way to Head Nurse under the ship’s CMO. After the Nazareth’s destruction, she transferred, along with most of the senior crew, to a new ship, the USS Castelnaudary, commanded by the Nazareth’s previous XO. She continued to serve as Head Nurse, but during a visit to the bridge during a sabotage incident, she was sitting at the helm when it exploded.

She was badly burned and scarred, and while she allowed repairs to be made to her face, she kept one scar on her cheek, attempting to achieve an ‘older’ look and eliminate her baby-face problem. It somewhat succeeded, the mar on her face reminding her friends that she wasn’t a child anymore.

Since the Castelnaudary already had a helmswoman, she decided to go on an extended assignment elsewhere, to see if staying in the Command track appealed to her.
