Personal History Victor Crowe was born on Gault Colony 2355, the son of farmers. His childhood was carefree. When he turned 13, he was apprenticed to an ironweaver in attempt to pass on an obscure family tradition. Sadly, the apprenticeship failed miserably, leaving the boy with a guilt complex and a compulsive need to please his father, who grew abusive.

When Vic reached age 18, he transmitted an application to Starfleet Academy, and to his surprise was accepted to Marine Officer's Training in Syrtis City, Mars. Vic's for years an "The Castle" were good ones as Vic excelled at the scholastic and field challenges. A sudden onset of Gould's Disease delayed his graduation a year, allowing him time to recuperate in the Castle's long-term care facility. It was there that young Vic met Gunny Richard Frierchs, a senior NCO who had a profound effect on his life in and out of the Corps. Frierchs taught Vic what it took to be an effective officer and leader of Marines, and cemented a deep friendship.

Crowe was assigned a rifle platoon and quickly turned the ragtag group of misfits rejected by other platoon leaders into a cohesive unit that got the job done under the moist grueling of conditions. Crowe and his platoon sergeant, SSG Hanley Woodard, kept the men at tip top shape while stationed at the Romulan Embassy.

Crowe and his platoon saw action in the Dominion War, with Crowe rising in rank to captain and command of his company after a disastrous assault on a Jem'Hadar held communications array. Crowe launched a meticulously planned raid on the array with what was left of his company and took the ground, earning him a Distinguished Sevice Cross and a commendation.

After the ceasefire was signed at Bajor, Crowe and his company were stood down for rest and replenishment, then assigned to the USS Ticonderoga, a starship on patrol in the Gamma Quadrant. When the Ticonderoga crashed 13 months later, it was Crowe who led the survivors until a rescue ship located them nine months later.

After eighteen months of downtime, Crowe was recalled to command for service in the Delta Quadrant once again.
