Mission:
All this has happened before...
Location: USS Victory
Timeline: Before ship left dock
Lieutenant Junior Grade Christopher Evans had a lot of things to get accomplished today. He hadn't seen Aidan since they were on the transport vessel together and wondered what he had been doing. "I guess we have just both been so busy now that we are aboard the Victory" he hoped they could catch up when they had time, he seemed like he would be a good friend and Chris thought they liked each other. Looking at a PaDD as he exited his quarters the first agenda was to meet the commanding officer and then medical check in with the ships CMO.
Moments later Christopher approached the captains ready room and hit the chime requesting to enter. He was right on time for their meeting.
The doors slid open smoothly, a female voice from inside the Ready Room calling out "Enter.."
"Lieutenant Junior Grade Christopher Evans reporting as ordered ma'am" Chris said trying to tone down his southern accent while entering the Captains ready room and then standing at attention.
Standing up from where she'd been seated at her desk, the Captain said "Lt. JG Evans.. welcome aboard." Then, almost as an afterthought she added "At ease.. please.. have a seat."
Chris took the seat and smiled at the CO "I'm glad to be here Captain" he said, even more so now that he had Aidan.
"I'm glad to have you," the Captain responded. "It's been a little hectic without a Chief Operations officer, how familiar are you with the Prometheus class?" she asked him.
Christopher took the offered seat "I have studied the specifications, but I've never served on one before" he paused and smiled at the Captain "I think I can figure it out ma'am" he said with his usual southern charm.
"Lets hope so," was the Captain's reply, accompanied by a smile. "This ship seems to have a bit of a mind of its own but I think it's little quirks aren't too difficult to get familiar with."
"I can't wait to get started" he smiled "and get to know the Victory, Captain"
"Have you already received your quarters assignment?" the Captain asked. "If not, I can pull the the information for you.."
"No ma'am" Chris said and shuffled in his chair. He was more then ready to get to work and some how knew this ship and crew would offer up plenty of work for him to do.
"One moment," she told him, turning her attention to the computer terminal at her desk. She entered a few commands, and then downloaded the information to a data padd which she then held out towards him. "This has your quarters assignment, as well as an interior map of the ship's layout and other general information you need to know like, where the mess hall is.." she told him.
Chris took the data padd with a smile "Thank you Captain" he said and pressed a button on the padd to view some of the data. The Captain seemed like a very nice person so far.
"I don't have anything else at the moment," she told him. "Unless you have any additional questions for me, I'll let you get going as I'm sure you would like to find your quarters and take a little time to get settled in."
"Thank you Captain" he said with a smile and stood up and saluted his CO.
