Mission: Silence
He had just finished talking to Summers/Karee and decided to report to the captain about the situation. He wrote a report and decided to take it down to the captain's office. He hit the button on his communicator. "Captain, could you meet me in the ready room?" He said as he headed down.
As she was currently in the Ready Room, the Captain answered "I'm here now Lieutenant. I'll see you when you get here."
Arashi arrived at the captain's Ready Room and entered. "I am here with the report on the Summers/Karee situation. I am not sure what was going on but it seems that the ship was set to...implode. There was an operative at the Theta 7 station that was there to set off some kind of device or a computer program to cause this." He said "Also it seems that there is a split in the Tal Shiar. They apparently do not want the "agreement in principle" with the Federation to go through. Karee said that this would show the rest of the galaxy that the Romulans were weakening and that they were not strong. At least that is what I gathered by what she had said. She was sent to this ship to reverse polairty in the docking system so when we arrived at the station the same thing would have happened and the station and the ship would have been destroyed." He waited a moment before continuing.
"It seems that she and the other operative were given seperate orders and when Karee's mission failed the other operative might have went to ground. She gave this information of her own free will and has requested political asylum as her government will most likely disavow her and cast her aside. I will vouch for her and watch her if necessary." Arashi said. "I also suggest telling the station security chief to keep an eye out for suspicious behaviour from anyone working the docking bays. I don't know if that would be a good idea but I reccommend it nonetheless."
"I do not have the authority to grant political asylum to a spy, and I would not be inclined to do so for a spy who attempted to take control of my ship, placing my crew in danger if I did.." Kennit answered.
"I understand that. But I did promise her I would put in a good word for her. Anyways what is to be done about the other operative on the station? Should we report it or should we ignore it for now?" Arashi asked "Do they even know what happened?"
"Not my concern." The Captain answered. "The information was shared with the command level staff and it's up to them to deal with their problem. If they require assistance, should we receive a request to provide help we will of course do so."
"Very well captain. That concludes my report." Arashi said. "Is there any concerns about how I am doing my job so far, captain?" He had to ask. He felt a little less confident about what he has been doing but he needed to know where he could improve if he needed to.
"You are doing an excellent job Mr. Tanaka. This situation we are trying to get firm control over is not exactly the sort of thing we face on a normal day, and you have handled the task I asked of you with 100% and that is all anyone can ask of you. I will share your report with the XO, I'm going to ask him to handle this so that I can focus on our primary mission and try to keep any more surprises from throwing more surprises at our heads.."
