Mission: Nibiru
Location: Logan's Quarters

Nicole walked next to Camille, holding her hand tightly. She wasn't lagging, but she wasn't quite rushing to keep up as they followed the other couple to Zack's quarters. She kept a polite smile on her face and as they stopped in front of the doors, and found herself mildly curious what his quarters would look like.

Zack opened the door, allowed Bry to enter first, then stood aside and motioned to Nicole and Camille, "Please, after you and welcome."

Nicole inclined her head. "Thank you," she said, letting Camille enter ahead of her, then following her in.

Zack walked in last. "Please, have a seat." He pointed to the couch.

"I'm going to go get out of this uniform. I shouldn't be long." Bry walked to the bedroom door and entered. The door shut behind her.

On a table off to the side, were various bottles of drinks. "What I don't have here, I can get from the replicator. What would you like?"

"Saurian spice nectar, thank you," Nicole said, sitting down gracefully.

Zack picked up a bottle, and poured some in a glass. "One Saurian spice nectar."

Camille looked at his collection with great interest. What a collection it was! "Ooh! Is that Denevan whiskey? I'll try some of that, s'il-vous-plaît!"

Bry walked out of the bedroom, wearing baggy sweat pants and a cut off t-shirt that exposed her abs. "I'll have my usual please."

Zack picked up the bottle of whiskey and poured her some in a glass. "Here you are, my love."

Bry took the glass. "Thank you, lover." She took a sip. Looking at Nicole and Camille, "So, have long have you two been lovers?"

Nicole raised an eyebrow at the phrasing, but despite her misgivings, she looked at Camille and couldn't help but smile. "We'll be coming up on a year soon," she said, putting a hand on Camille's. "Although we're a bit further down the path than that."

Camille sipped her drink and smiled over at Nicole. "And a great year it's been. Though 'lover' is a weird word in English, n'est-ce pas? Though 'amant' is probably no better. Et vous?"

"On my planet, the word is t'hy'la," Nicole said. "Although, as I understand it, that word is closer to 'soulmate' than 'girlfriend.' Still, approprié, non?" She smiled at Camille.

Bry smiled. "That's nice. You know, before I met Zack, I was involved with a woman, actually, more then one. But when Zack came along, that all changed. I'm still seeing women, but Zack is okay with it. He actually joins in some times. Really spices things up."

"We opted for a more committed relationship style," Nicole said evenly. "Spice is all well and good, but there's something to be said for a romantic connection too."

"Nothing wrong with either lifestyle. Whatever works for you is what's good for you," Zack responded.

"So long as the couple understands and agrees with each other's motivations," Nicole said, nodding in agreement.

"And needs." Zack responded. Then he thought to himself, and sometime, maybe a person's needs can't be fulfilled by their partner. Nothing wrong with a little...outside help, right?

Zack took a sip of his drink. "A relationship needs 3 things: love, trust and understanding. The first one is obvious. The second...well I know that Bry will sometimes sleep with other women, I trust her and I know that she will be with me at the end of the day. Finally, understanding. Each person in a relationship has to understand that there may be times when their partner's needs come first."
Zack looked at everyone. He felt that the 4 of them could become friends.

Camille sipped her drink and nodded. “Well said.” She smiled at Nicole and playfully nudged her arm, and then lifted her glass in a toast. “To love, trust, and understanding.”

"Muhl'es," Nicole said, raising her glass as well and downing the rest. She put her glass down and took a breath. "We should be getting home. We've all got an early start tomorrow." She looked at Zack and Bry. "Thank you for the drink."

Zack and Bry both stood. "If was nice having you here," Zack said, with Bry agreeing, "I hope we can do this again."

Camille took another sip and nodded. "Me, as well. We'll need to host you sometime." She finished the drink and set her glass down before standing up and offering Nicole a hand.

Nicole took it and stood as well, as Zack and Bry walked them to the door. "Good night," she said to them, holding Camille's hand as they walked out.
