Characters and Characterization

This article will help you in designing your character. Requesting that you read this is not meant to hurt feelings or denigrate anyone in any manner. However, I think that reading this information will help you recognize undesirable character traits. This is something ALL of us tend to do, even with Canon characters.

Please read through the guidelines below for creating a character profile for the game.

Not everything can be anticipated or covered so each profile submitted for approval is treated on a case-by-case basis. Please consider this as you read through all of the information provided on creating a suitable character for the game. If you are not sure your character 'qualifies' then ask. There will be specific character creation guidelines and hints attached to each type of application (Military, Civilian, Other, Audition).

Again...the statements here are guidelines.

Each character profile or audition submitted will be reviewed individually and on its own merit. Exceptions can and probably will be made if warranted.

Before going further...

MAJOR RULE: DO NOT assume a relationship of any kind exists between your character and another Player's...even if that relationship exists in the television show. This will be explained in further detail under Romance and Relationships.
