Posting Policy

Because of the nature of how playing an online RPG using the Nova game management system works, we have noticed a need for a policy which specifically relates to posting, and how long others must wait for answers to tags in group posts before moving on and continuing the storyline so as to not allow the game to stall.
The standing Posting Policy is to allow a maximum time of 48 hours for players to respond to a tag, before the post is then 'bumped' once in a 24 hour time period for a maximum of 3 bumps before allowing other players to write around or edit out the tag in order to continue.
The only exception is if the player who is tagged sends an OCC note to the group to advice us that they need a little more time due to real life events, in which case we can and will make whatever adjustments are necessary to accomodate the OOC request.
So, to state it in less "official" terms..
During the course of the game, if for example there is a tag for Captain Kennit in the group-wide JP which for whatever reason (computer dies, a storm takes out the power and I'm here in a dark, electricity deprived house..etc.) I don't answer, after 2 days it is appropriate for someone to give the post a 'bump', or save it with a note that they are bumping the post to get a reply to the tag. This can be done 3 times (Once per day only), after which if there is still no reply from me as Captain Kennit then the other players can write around that point and continue without having to wait for me to respond unless I have responded and sent out an OOC note to the group either by adding it to the group-wide post or by sending a note to the group using the site system asking for more time.
It's simple, and it's a good way to keep things from stalling out completely because someone is busy and unable to respond for a time.
