[Sickbay]
The doors to sickbay parted, admitting a group of security staff hustling the Captain into Sickbay. It was an odd sort of thing to see, considering the Captain was walking on her own two feet, swearing like a shipyard welder while holding what looked like a rag of some sort to her face trying to deal with the repercussions of a broken nose. Which was bleeding profusely at the moment..
"What happened?" the young doctor asked rushing toward Captain putting blue gloves on. They felt cold on his hand, as he reached for a rag she had on her face. Nothing was making sense to him but it he wouldn't let her know that. He placed his hands on her arms and gently pushed her down on a medical station nearest to them. "How did this happen?"
"I had an altercation with a hairy-knuckled gorilla.." the Captain answered. "Seems Xaviar's crew felt he'd been over here too long and came up with a misguided idea to try and do something about it.." she paused for half a second, then added "The end result was me, face down on the deck.. rather hard.."
"Ironically that was the second time she was being hoisted in he air." Miguel just happened to say. "I phasered the first guy that tried it and caught her. She then shoved me out of the way and nearly had her head knocked off by the one that eventually did this to her.
"You're welcome.." the Captain muttered. "That goon would have taken your head off.."
"Or I could have phasered the guy like I was going to, til you pushed me." he told her. "However if he had managed to hit me I probably would have been able to taken the shot better since I'm over six feet and nearly 300 pounds not to mention I'm quite tough for... an engineer." he added.
"He was behind you.. how would you have phasered him behind you, while still holding me?" she countered. "And really?" she asked then. "300 pounds? I'm going to have to order the galley chief to start putting salads on every menu.."
"Eating salads are good for you I highly recommend it for building a strong body along with regular exercise like I do." he told her and added a wink.
"Uh huh.." the Captain responded. "This from the guy I saw scarfing down a massive plate full of chow the other night in the mess hall. I didn't see any salad or any vegetables for that matter anywhere near you.."
A few minutes after Rhea had entered sickbay, Alec came in, like a hurricane with legs. He had landed the Valkyrie, jumping out before it had come to a complete stop, given the sensor data to the appropriate personnel and was now in sickbay. He strode up to group, "Make a hole" he shouted as he wormed his way in. He peered at Rhea. "Are you alright Rhe......Captain?"
Still sitting with a cloth to her face, though now she had an ice pack as well to help with discomfort until the Doctor was ready to repair the damage, the Captain gave a short nod as she answered, "Just peachy.."
He looked into her eyes, a relieved smile on his face, "Yes , I can see. You look just peachy." Then softer as he bent closer, "I'm sorry you got hurt Rhea. I should have there for you."
"You were where I needed you to be," she answered him. "Doing what I needed you to do. This.. it hurts. But not as bad as I'm going to hurt that Xaviar. We found some parts on his ship in their cargo bays which are used aboard warp capable ships, marked for delivery here. That's a violation of about a half dozen Federation codes and now.. I would like you to confiscate that freighter, put it's crew in the brig and assign personnel from the Victory to go over there and be ready to take it back with the Victory running escort to Starbase 900 where we'll turn it, and Xaviar and his crew over to the proper authorities and wash our hands of this mess. The Federation will have to send a diplomatic envoy out here and see what they can do to help alleviate the mess taking place here.."
She smiled a little then, reaching out to give his upper arm a light squeeze.. "And here we thought this was going to be a boring patrol.."
"Sure thing Captain, It will be my pleasure. I'll take well armed security team with me. The freighter crew won't give us any trouble. Want me to have a tractor beam fixed on the freighter? So it can't wander off?" Hunter answered.
"By all means Commander." she answered. "Do whatever it is you feel is appropriate to ensure that both that ship and it's crew are returned and handed over to the proper authorities .."
"Rest assured I will Captain." tapping his combadge, "Hunter to bridge, lock a tractor beam on that freighter. I don't want it going anywhere. Also have a security team with phasers set on stun standing by in the transporter room."
The reply from the bridge was instant. "Tractor beam locked sir. Security detail waiting in transporter room as well sir."
"Isolate them as best as possible in the Brig. And order a 24 hour guard posted until we return to SB900 to offload our.. guests.." she told him.
"At once Captain." Tapping his combadge again, "Hunter to Lt.Maximus, round up the freighter's crew. stun them if you have to and place them all in the brig under a 24 hour guard."
Maximus, came back with a under tone of glee. "At once Commander. Maximus out."
"As soon as the freighter crew has been secured in our brig and that ship readied for departure, set course back to SB900.." the Captain ordered.
"Yes Captain." Hunter answered, his tone serious. This wasn't the time to crack wise. It was a few minutes later when the overly enthusiastic Lt. Maximus checked in. "Maximus to Hunter, the freighter crew is now safely residing in the brig."
"Good work Lieutenant. Any trouble?" Hunter asked, "No sir not after we stunned the first one they all became very well behaved." Hunter couldn't help but laugh. "I bet they did. Keep a tractor beam on that ship. We're getting ready to head for SB900."
"Might want to call ahead to SB900 as well, let them know we're bring back a little present for their Security team.." the Captain suggested. "And get me an ETA for our arrival, with that freighter in tow we'll have to set a considerably slower speed to accommodate the additional mass being held by the tractor beam.. Mr. Torres, make certain that we verify the power requirements before we get underway. I don't want any problems.."
"As you wish Captain, it shall be done." Hunter replied as he tapped his combadge and forward Rhea's orders to the bridge to be carried out.
"The sooner we get those clowns off my ship and fumigate the Brig the better.." Kennit grumbled while trying to sit still to allow the Doctor to treat her broken nose.
