Mission:
A Whole New World: Part 1 - Precipice
Location: Nicole's Quarters
Nicole moved fast into her quarters. She walked up to an old cedar chest by her bed and pressed her hand on the lock plate. It scanned quickly and the lock snapped open. She lifted the heavy lid and looked inside.
It contained her most treasured possessions: two large, unbreakable decanters filled with a dark-red liquid, a Book of Numbers from the City's Chief Numerologist, a few letters from her friends, and a jewelry box that looked to be sculpted out of a huge blood-red ruby, among other items.
She opened it and poked around inside, selecting a few pieces. She pulled out a set of contact lenses, placing them over her ice-blue eyes. She replaced her communicator for one inside the box, as well as one of her pips. She also slipped a fake crown over one of her molars. She closed the box, putting it back in her chest, and pulled out a silver belt with a small grey control panel on the front. She clasped it around her waist, putting it snug around her, then stood up, reaching into her uniform.
She pulled out her flask, uncapped it and took two very long swallows before recapping it and putting it back in her uniform.
She grabbed her tricorder and put her little black bag in the chest, closing it and locking it back up tight.
"Anderson to Sickbay," she said, tapping her combadge and heading back into the corridor.
"P'k'ala here," the reedy voice of her Andorian doctor replied.
"Just the person I wanted," Nicole said. "I'm beaming over to the ship we've found. Take charge of Sickbay until I return."
"Aye Ma'am," P'k'ala wheezed. "I'll have everything span or spac when you return."
"Close enough," Nicole said, chuckling. "See you in a few hours. Anderson out."
She picked up an EVA suit, slipping it on nimbly. Unfortunately, that was the last of her nimble motions as she then semi clunked her way to the transporter room. *There'd better be more than dust to find over there,* she thought.
