Mission: All this has happened before...
Location: Holosuite

As soon as Cassandra walked through the doors of the holosuite, she was blasted back by a wall of sound that almost knocked her back to the corridor. She blinked and steadied herself and walked inside.

She was at the edge of a crowd of cheering fans surrounding a stage on which were two people: Penny, and a man who seemed to be yelling at her through a microphone. Cassandra could detect a distinct beat to the 'music' being played, but they were talking so fast and so loud she didn't have a clear idea what they were saying at first.

By the time she'd threaded her way through the crowd, Penny had picked up her mic and was shouting back. Cassandra knew Penny was into 'verbal jousting' as she called it, but this was something else. She finally gave up on trying to hear them properly and called for the computer. Unfortunately the music and cheering was so loud her voice couldn't be heard over the din.

She put her fingers in her ears and turned on the spot, pushing back through the crowd to the exit. By the time she reached it, however, the crowd let out an enormous cheer and the music died, the crowd vanished and the holodeck reset to a basic grid.

"Hey Cassie!" Penny said, grinning.

Cassandra's ears were still ringing and she held her hands to her head, the blue jewel in her headband glowing slightly brighter for a moment before she stood up straight and took a breath. "Hello Penelope," she said calmly. "What in the name of anything was that?"

"It's called a 'rap battle'," Penny said. "Words and rhythm used to spar with an opponent."

"I didn't realize it was so....loud," Cass said, grimacing slightly at the memory.

"Oh sorry," Penny said quickly. "Kinda didn't think about anyone w/eardrums walking in." She gave a sheepish grin and shrugged.

Cassandra shook her head and waved her hand, dismissing the subject. "Are you packed and ready to go? We're approaching the Starbase and the ship."

"Yeah, I've got everything ready for transport, just killing time," Penny said. "When are we heading out?"

As the transporter beam took them, Cass smirked and said, "right about now."

They wound up inside a darkened room, their only illumination being the soft blue glow of the jewel in Cassandra's headband. Penny's eyes being far superior, she quickly assessed their location and judged it safe. "Computer, lights, please," she said and a moment later the room was fully illuminated.

"Where are we?" Cass said, looking around.

"Empty cargo bay from the look of it," Penny said. "Wanna go find your office?"

"I itch with anticipation," Cass said dryly. "But before we do, you have something to talk to the Captain about. "Computer, where is Captain Kennit?"

"Captain Kennit is in Sickbay," the computer said.

"Hope she's all right," Cass said. "Well good; two birds with one stone."

They walked out of the bay quickly, heading to Sickbay before the Captain could leave.
